Clinical Support Worker

Band 3

Permanent

Base: Macclesfield or Nether Alderley

If you relish a challenge, are caring and compassionate and have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then we need people who share our values and vision to join inpatient services as Clinical Support Workers.

Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are looking to develop and strengthen our existing teams in the Macclesfield and Nether Alderley area.

Our services consist of the following specialist inpatient areas:

  • Mulberry Ward- A newly opened 26 bed acute admissions ward
  • Silk Ward- A newly opened 15 bed specialist Dementia ward
  • Alderley Unit- A Low Secure Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability Ward
  • Saddlebridge Recovery Centre- A Low Secure Mental Health Ward

We are also looking to recruit to our temporary staffing service which offers an opportunity for individuals who are not able to commit to regular contracted hours; however they are able to undertake ad hoc shifts. This provides individuals with the opportunity to gain experience in multiple clinical specialties when there is a shift available that they are able to commit to working.

We are looking for applicants who have some experience of working with people with either a Mental Health condition, Dementia, Intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder and who can demonstrate their compassion and optimism for the rehabilitation and recovery of this client group.

In return we will provide you with the relevant support, training and supervision to ensure that you are able to thrive and develop within your role. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

  • Competitive salary based upon an incremental pay progression scheme under Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
  • Annual leave based upon length of NHS service. On commencement of service 35 days, after 5 years 37 days and after 10 years 41 days all are pro rata and inclusive of public holidays.
  • An excellent NHS pension scheme.
